We present new data for several inspection technologies as follows: electromagnetic inspections of coiled tubing strings, which indicate the device used can pass the quality requirements of a major oil company and those of draft API 5ST. Our latest research results for wall thickness assessments of tubing, both from the outside and from the inside are given. We have also produced technology for the measurement of internal coating thickness in coiled line pipe.
Additionally, we have used phased array ultrasonic technology for the inspection of seam and butt welds in coiled tubulars, and report the results. This technology appears to be able to replace older technologies, especially for inspecting critical strings offshore.
Finally, we report on progress with four API proposed documents.
