Abstract

This paper focuses on Conoco's recent installation and production measurement performance testing of the first Multiphase flow meter installed in the Gulf of Mexico. It summarizes the observations and conclusions made during the field evaluation tests. The paper also discusses the technical JIP development of the Fluenta model MPFM 1900VI Multiphase flowmeter that was used in these tests. Finally, the paper compares the meter's performance during the final development and verification testing program which took place at Conoco's Multiphase flow test loop prior to the field testing program.
