Abstract
Probability field simulation is a general methodology for producing equiprobable models of rock and fluid properties that honor the available data, and that honor the distribution and spatial continuity of the property being modelled. This paper introduces the basic idea behind probability field simulation, documents the practical application of the method through case studies, and discusses its strengths and weaknesses.
