Abstract
Oil and gas wells in the Wampu field in Indonesia are plagued with carbonate scale depositsi. These deposits interfere with efficient oil and gas production from these wells and limit their profitability. Electromagnetic physical fluid treatment is a new strategy for controlling deposits and this paper describes both the theory behind the treatment strategy and the compares results of 18 months of application on wells in this field with that previously seen. Comparison results will be presented from wells in North America.
