Field Pilots of an Innovative Real-Time Testing Technique for Separate-Layer Water Distribution

Based on the traditional water injection technology using off-center choke mandrels for separate layers, an innovated technique for real-time downhole injection-rate adjustment for multiple separate layers was studied, which achieved real-time stepless and continuous adjustment of the desired downhole injection-rates for different separate layers. The technique enhanced the injection-rate adjustment efficiency for a more qualified water flood program and improved the overall production effect in a water-injection field.
