The paper provides data on chemical composition of formation water and injected water of the Verkhnechonsky Horizon and reviews differences between them. It describes results of in-field observations of inflow of formation and injected waters into producing wells and associated halite depositing during oil and gas production. A summary of causes for halite plugging in the downhole equipment is provided. Estimation of skin factors and productivity ratios are done for cases of halite redeposition in bottomhole zones of the formation. Technological solutions for assurance of halite deposition control during oil and gas production in the Verkhnechonskoye Oil and Gas Condensate Field are described. The actual data are compared to data available from publications on the problem of halite/chloride depositing during oil production. A theoretical basis is proposed for understanding of geochemical processes of halite depositing in the bottomhole zones in the Verkhnechonskoye Field.
