More than 1000 emergency shutdown valves are installed in the gas processing facility in different applications such as battery limit isolation, equipment isolation, unit/train isolation, pressurization/depressurization of section/unit as per different shutdown level.

There are four main categories of ESD valves considered; i. Emergency Service (ESDV & EBDV), ii. Inventory Isolation, iii. Pipeline Sectioning/Isolation and iv. Process Service (Routing, Sequencing, etc.)
