Succession Planning and Management is a strategic process that focuses on creating a sustainable value chain of high potential talent who have the requisite knowledge and skills to lead and manage new organizational requirements and address business challenges. Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations has implemented the succession planning system from way back in 2006 in preparation for significant challenges in the horizon for which the organization needed to be prepared for:. The challenges included:
