While premise of marine salvage remains the same as hundreds of years ago, the modern day Salvor must evolve with the times. The emergency response culture of the present day is both intricate and methodical. Conventions and laws across the globe have shaped this complex environment. The following is an overview of what marine salvage entails and what salvors are faced with. Salvors are professionals with a wide and profound skillset. While the salvage industry is known to be a very reactive industry, Salvors should be seen as proactive partners to international and domestic marine operators in efforts to advance emergency preparedness and response.
