Ship is made by composed many hull plates. Therefore, the fabrication of hull plate is very important in the fabrication of ship. The fabrication of hull plate is divided cold bending and line heating by heat source. The many study for roll bending have been proposed. As a result, the various methods have been proposed to obtain information about roll bending. However, the study of roll shape was relatively small. The proposed methods have been discussed by cylinder shape. However, In some cases, the hull plate is to fabricate by other shape of cylinder. In this study, we are to discuss about the determination method of roll shape. We have been to obtain direction of silhouette line using gauss image. Then, we use principal curvature of point on silhouette line.
