ABSTRACT

The simultaneous source data acquisition has become a trend because this acquisition method has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost. Then how to separate the overlapped seismic data becomes a new problem that must be solved. The synchrosqueezed curvelet transform is presented as an alternative tool to separate blended banded wave-like components. We have developed the synchro-squeezed curvelet transform algorithm to separate the overlapped seismic data in this paper. Both numerical example and real data show that the overlapped seismic data in x-t domain can be clearly separated in curvelet domain with the synchrosqueezing technique and clustering technique.
