An integrated technique is proposed to jointly model the electrical resistivity and relative permittivity measurements of carbonates formations. A set of well logs have been constructed using the joint model. Then, a stochastic global optimization machine has been employed to develop a novel inversion algorithm. Salinity, matrix dielectric constant, lithology exponents of each pore system, water-filled porosity of each pore system, and total water saturation are the main petrophysical properties which are estimated via this inversion algorithm. Uncertainty estimation of petrophysical properties is a natural outcome of the proposed workflow.
