We apply 3D full azimuth wave equation migration velocity analysis (WEMVA) to a real ocean bottom node (OBN) dataset. We start from an initial velocity model that is far from the true velocity. To invert both large and small scale velocity errors, we apply horizontal-contraction image warping followed by differential semblance optimization(DSO) and image power maximization. Amplitude normalization is applied to image gathers in inversion. The results show that WEMVA not only handles large scale long-wavelength errors, but also fine-scale velocity details.
