ABSTRACT
A permanent reservoir monitoring system, containing 172 four-component nodes, was installed south of the Oseberg C platform in the North Sea, to ensure safe injection of a disposal well. Microseismic monitoring using advanced noise removal methods allows the detection of small events in the presence of strong platform noise and seismic interference from nearby acquisitions. The system is set up to continuously monitor the site with a real-time alert for occurring events.
