ABSTRACT
In this case study, we present an example from the Green Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico that demonstrates how we can use a large 3D vertical seismic profile survey to quantify the global accuracy of two models (legacy model and new model), created for depth imaging at different times. The validity of the models is judged by comparing images and well ties from the final prestack depth migration RTM stacked volumes and the corresponding 3D vertical seismic profile transit time misfit graphs and maps.
