ABSTRACT
In this paper, we report on the successful application of multi-parameter Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) to marine carbonates field. The uplift from inverting both velocity and anisotropy is highlighted. In addition, it is noted that accounting for variable density frees the inversion from explaining the contrast at the water bottom as a pure velocity contrast. This in turn yields a simpler shallow model and improves the flatness of the gathers.
