ABSTRACT

In this paper we present a case history using seismic data with two different acquisition geometries for 4D analysis at the Europa field. The interpretations of 4D results at the field are consistent with the production history as well as with reservoir modeling studies. Matching survey''s were not acquired over this field, therefore, the cost is an order of magnitude less than traditional 4D methods that would require a purpose-shot repeat survey. This approach requires only additional processing. This approach is not a replacement for traditional 4D analysis (i.e. with repeated shots), but an alternative low-cost solution that provided good results at Europa and may be useful in other area with strong 4D response and existing multiple surveys.
