ABSTRACT
3D seismic reflection re-processing of the Halfmile Lake data has been carried out. Results indicate an improved 3D seismic image for both shallow and deep sub-surface structures. This may result from a better estimation of refraction static corrections, filtering design, careful removing of P- and S-wave energy and implementation of DMO process. Results demonstrate that the Deep massive sulfide lens produces a strong diffraction with the highest amplitudes occurring north of the apex, suggesting a northwards dip direction for the sulfide mineralization. This diagnostic signature was not preserved with the pre-stack time migration approach previously used for the initial processing of the data.
