ABSTRACT
Quality control plays an important role for successful time-lapse seismic projects. Because differences in amplitude, frequency, and phase are indicators of non-repeatability, comprehensive quantitative comparisons between base and monitor data are frequently needed. We present a new method through which the non-repeatability can be separated in time, amplitude, frequency, and phase domain for the convenience of analysis. Four correlation characteristic parameters have been extracted to characterize time, amplitude, frequency, and phase differences. The method is not only a processing quality indicator, it also provide a guideline for future processing strategy.
