Summar
There are in Mexico about 5000 wells with information of induction and conventional electrical logs. These logs were obtained by running electrical and induction tools such as the short normal and 6FF40, respectively. These wells present intervals with Low Resistivity and Low Contrast (LRLC). This makes it difficult to identify and evaluate potential pay zones. In addition, these tools have poor vertical resolution. For these reasons, most of these intervals were bypassed. Moreover, when some of these intervals were detected via gas presence, their evaluation based on electric logs yielded poor results in most of the cases, and thus were considered unproductive
