Summary
An eight-sensor boom-mounted airborne magnetometer system has been developed for mapping unexploded ordnance. The system is appropriate for high-resolution mapping of cultural and geologic features in environmental surveys as well as mining and petroleum applications. Data from a meander in the White River on the Badlands Bombing Range demonstrate the sensitivity of the system, and the benefits of the ORAGS system over systems that operate at higher altitudes.
