Rock lithology identification and quantification is today a fundamental task of reservoir characterization, it is performed in real-time using drilled cuttings to have a very first insight of drilled formation, to take real-time decision and hence to build up a geological model of the reservoir. Cutting analysis have not evolved for the past 50 years and is still a tedious and fully human dependent process. Our solution, using digital image and smart processing will automate cuttings lithology interpretation and extract automatically digital rock features as measurement to enable remote operation, reduce skills required to execute the tasks and hence improved data quality and consistency to unlock new answer products.
