The jumpers are typically curved pieces used to connect manifold system to wells head. In the area, it is normally exposed to significant currents. So the jumpers are subject to vortex induced vibration (VIV). However, the experimental method for prediction of vortex induced vibration (VIV) of subsea jumpers has so far been limited hence the present work advances with ad hoc experimental tests with jumpers. The experiment investigation was performed for one degree of freedom vortex-induced vibration (VIV) in a set of tests to evaluate VIV response of vertically oriented cylinder in the current channel. The experiments were conducted in the Reduced Velocity corresponding to Reynolds the number range: 10000~30000.
