There is no common procedure guidance how to evaluate extreme value from dynamic time-domain simulation of turret mooring system which is mostly applied to FLNG positioning system. In this paper, the time-domain dynamic simulations using turret moored FLNG model in different water depth are carried out and various statistical analysis methods are applied to each 3 hours simulation to obtain evaluated extreme line tension.

By the case study results, the paper presents the investigation about the most suitable statistical analysis procedure to evaluate extreme response of time-domain turret mooring analysis. In addition, the detailed analysis procedure in case of storm that is wave and wind force directions are rapidly changing condition is also investigated based on time-domain simulations.
