Abstract
During the last UN Summits, Kazakhstan committed to achieve zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2060. As part of this transition process, RINA has been awarded a World Bank (WB) funded contract to carry out several energy reviews and analyses of different energy-intensive industrial sectors in the Country.
The main aim of the project is to spread the knowledge about how Kazakhstan’s high Green House Gases (GHG)-emitting industries use energy, to build local capacity to face the current national deficiencies and gaps to reach Energy Efficiency (EE) targets and Best Available Technologies (BAT) compliance.
