The lifecycle of any Drilling and Completion project is usually organised in 3 steps: Planning, Operations monitoring, and Post-well analysis.
Any of these steps generates a large amount of technical and non-technical data. These data are held by different entities and disciplines: well planning by engineering in affiliate, well monitoring directly on the rig, and post well analysis in headquarters and affiliate's offices. Moreover, they have almost always different formats, because produced by different systems and for different purposes. The issue is that the traceability and usability of these data is not systematically guaranteed.
Eni E&P tackled this challenge by re-organizing all the wells dataflow on a common platform. This platform covers the entire project lifecycle and link together all systems, geographical units and disciplines.
As a result, any kind of performance analysis is made possible such as: level of Non-Productive Time compared to risks, probability distribution from offset wells for the Rate of Penetration in specific formations, lessons learned on specific troubles types,... The organization of the data through the system presented above generates a virtuous circle that allows to increase the value of these data and ultimately speed up the Drilling and Completion project activities.
