The use of beam pumping system in Gas Well Dewatering applications has grown substantially over the past decade. The system's wide range of production capability, comparatively low operating cost, and higher operating efficiencies are particularly valuable in dewatering gas wells and coalbed methane wells. The use of Automation made it even more convenient as the system can be monitored and controlled by one smart controller which controls the beam pumping unit for water production and also calculates volume of produce gas. This allows optimum performance and control. This presentation shows the theory of operation and historical field application for gas well dewatering applications
