ABSTRACT:

Recently all the oil companies are looking forward to use all resources to increase their production in order to meet the market demand of crude oil as it is increasing rapidly. In many cases the oil producers have faced several problems to execute the required workover and the wells intervention. Utilizing the coiled tubing equipment has introduced many of safe, cost effective and fast solutions to the industry. These make the CT well intervention very important everywhere, but in many cases it was noticed that there are many constrains that deny the owners from utilizing the CT. these constrains could be related to time, cost and the most important one is safety and well integrity. It was noticed also that many of these cases were rigless in both offshore or land wells which leave a very limited chance to the owners to execute the workover programs with rigless operations. We have carried out the challenge to find the solutions for all constrains specifically the safety related one to the well integrity. The new technique enables us to execute the special and critical jobs in offshore and land operations in most safe, less time and cost effective way. In many occasions the CT intervention require a very long BHA in addition to injector head length and BOP length which affect the well integrity and became unsafe in addition to if any malfunction occurred to the CT injector head. The new technique will eliminate the excessive height, reduce operations time and cost. The technique description is how to use the wire line equipment with the coiled tubing unit together to achieve the previous goals. It is proven practically in many cases in the field and won clients satisfaction
