ABSTRACT:

"Blue Stream" gas pipeline is constructed at the big depths of the Black Sea in conditions of the sea water and H2S presence. Outstanding technical parameters, including gas pressure 25 MPa, big diameter of the pipe 610 mm and long distance 400 km pose new diagnostics tasks during the pipeline inspection. The paper reflects the concept of the "Blue Stream" gas pipeline diagnostics comprising the system of technical maintenance monitoring. Requirements to the information base and individual types of monitoring, namely operational, corrosion, geodynamic, environmental are reported and respective instrumentation presented.
