ABSTRACT:
Kvaerner Oilfield Products and Cooper Cameron formed a Joint Venture known as EDDC to execute the design, procurement, manufacture and testing of the infield subsea equipment delivered in August 2002. The paper addresses the unique aspects and challenges of the system for this 90km subsea tie-back, including hydrate inhibition and chemical distribution, surface intervention standby control system, large diameter diverless connection systems and process system simulator. The paper will also relate some of the key lessons learned during the construction and testing phases.
