SUMMARY

This paper reports the purposes, lay-outs and operation sequence of pilot grouting tests on five large dam sites in Brazil. The tests were carried out on the final project definition phase. Analysis of results and conclusions for each test are presented as well as analysis of the indication of this type of tests in investigation programs of dam foundation. The dams, have being in operation for the past few years with very good performance related to foundation permebility and uplift pressures.
