Abstract

Taihu Basin is the most developed basin in China, so regional precipitation analysis, as the basic study for hydrodynamics, has been carried out. And Based on regional L-moments approach, the identification of homogeneous regions will influence the accuracy of precipitation estimates, so in this study, intersite dependence, which helps to improve the homogeneity in regional analysis, is investigated. Three statistical correlation coefficients are applied to assess the correlation. Then sensitivity test is used to assess the influence degree of site to its homogeneous region. After reforming regions, discordancy and heterogeneity are measured to check that if the sites and homogeneous regions are appropriate for further regional analysis and water resource management in Taihu Basin.
