Based on the field measured wave data at south and north part of radial sand ridges, the wave envelope spectra are calculated on the basis of the envelope theory. Then the analyzed comparisons of the non-dimensional average wave envelope spectra of these two areas are made and the fitting formulas are obtained. Some relevant parameters are utilized to change and simplify these formulas for practical application, receiving empirical formulas eventually. Among them, the groupiness factors GFH and GLF are considered and their values are proposed. Finally, the relative errors of the spectral peak value and the zeroth order moment are analyzed and the results indicate that the empirical wave envelope spectra fit well with the measured wave envelope spectra.
