In order to comprehend the driving force of mud erosion in sand mud layers, we have developed a simulation of mud erosion by water flow in pore space. The simulation part with regard to water flow in pore space is based on LBM (Lattice Boltzmann Method). The sand particles are generated in a three-dimensional calculation area. The shear stress can be calculated by the velocity of the water flow and the distance between the mud layer and the calculation point. As the results, we confirmed that the simulation using LBM is able to demonstrate mud erosion by water flows.
