Abstract

In this paper, authors analyzed dynamic characteristics of spatial configuration of flexible hose under different operational scopes and different mining paths, and calculated critical flow velocity of solidliquid two-phase mixture and total pressure drop of flexible hose by existing formulas under different mining conditions. The results show that the farther away from buffer mining collector is, the smaller tilt angle of hose is; and the more difficult solid particles transportation is, the higher critical velocity is needed to avoid pipe clogging, and the more pressure drop is. In deep-sea mining, to avoid pipe clogging and reduce energy consumption, transportation parameters of flexible hose should be controlled according to the relative distance between the buffer and the mining collector.
