ABSTRACT

Due to existence environment and special behavior of gas hydrate, the pressure sampler is the most important equipment to get the real physical and chemical properties of marine gas hydrate. Through the research on pressure sampler for many years, three kinds of gas hydrate samplers have been designed. WEPC samples in seabed sediments and non-diagenetic formations, WRPC samples in medium-hard formations and DRPC works with conventional drill pipe. The working principle and main parameters of three samplers as well as the functions and features of the key components in the sampler such as control locking mechanism, sampling mechanism and pressure-temperature-preserving system are introduced.
