The development of original hybrid interaction model of system "ice plate - structure support" and its program realization is offered. For the description of the formation mechanism of an ice cover from action of separate ice floes the authors use the discrete approach. At the interaction of a structure with an ice plate an indentation process takes place with destruction of ice before a structure by cutting. The program of model realization is executed in Visual Basic 5 and represents an interactive complex. There is an opportunity of computer modeling of real situations by means of an operative variation of input parameters: the ice drift velocity, concentration, shape of a structure support, linear dimensions of area, ice thickness. The results of numerical experiments are reported.
With the purpose of definition of quantity of loading cycles of offshore structures and estimation of their reliability it is necessary to investigate processes of action of ice features for the whole structure lifetime, which usually are accepted to be equal 20–25 years. The quantity of loading cycles of a structure by an ice cover depends, first, on ice conditions, which are characterized by the geometrical dimensions of ice features, kinematic parameters, physical and mechanical properties of ice, concentration of an ice cover. Secondly, process of interaction of ice fields with a structure defines a loading scenario. The interaction process of ice fields with a structure support depends not only on parameters of an ice cover, but also from geometrical and dynamic parameters of a structure (Bekker, Seliverstov and Uvarova, 1992). In connection with mentioned above it is possible to receive the reasonable definition of quantity of loading cycles and, especially, probabilistic characteristics of a loading regime of structures by ice cover on the base of simulation model.
