Abstract
The paper presents deflections of the ice cover caused by the combined action of the shock load and the subsequent deceleration movement load during airplane landing. The influence of shock load and the thickness of ice cover on the possibility of safe use as a runway are analyzed. It was found that the impact of the shock pulse load produces the deflection with magnitude no greater than that produced when the decelerating load passes through the critical speed.
