Abstract
This study focused on a new small hydropower system using dielectric elastomers driven by Karman vortex street. We conducted two-dimensional CFD analysis on the model of the hydropower system where a movable wing is placed behind a circular cylinder generating Karman vortices in order to look into behavior of a wing and the flow field around it. Comparison is made between the CFD results and the data obtained by the experiment in which a model of the generation system was fabricated and tested. The simulation results of a flow pattern correspond well to the experiment when the vibration amplitude of the CFD results is close to the resonance amplitude of the experiments.
