Abstract
In this study, we proposed an assessment method for shear buckling and collapse strength of a continuous stiffened panel with clarification of the boundary condition and its physical meaning. To validate this method, a series of collapse tests under combined in-plane shear and thrust was performed. It was revealed that shear buckling deformation is successfully reproduced by collapse tests. Also a series of comparison between our method that using a partial FE model of it and periodical symmetry boundary conditions and collapse tests is discussed.
