The relative applicable conditions and the key mechanical contents of tower soft yoke mooring system (SYM) are described. According to the feature of SYM structure, a full scale monitoring for SYM in Bohai Bay is designed. Then, some monitoring parameters for SYM have been calibrated and verified. Two special phenomena, such as Transverse-Oscillation and Stern-Spin behavior etc., are observed and recorded. Such unconsidered factors that may cause the damage for the SYM are found. The present study provides an efficient mean for enriching and improving the information evaluation technology and early warning technology of SYMs.
