Abstract
Recent studies focused on tsunami disaster prevention have attracted attention due to the occurrence of the East Japan Tsunami on March 2011. Research on how to mitigate the damage by unexpected tsunami attacks should be completed. An effective way for the tsunami hazard mitigation planning is to develop a hazard map along those coastlines vulnerable to tsunami attacks. In this study, a numerical model considered the characteristic of the tsunami occurred in the East Sea is used. Maximum inundation map bases on union of each tsunami case inundation area. A hazard map was produced to mitigate tsunami damage.
