ABSTRACT

The objective of this paper is to present the statistical behavior of some global and local sloshing key parameters identified in the Bureau Veritas (BV) sloshing assessment (BV NI554, BV NI564).

The proposed review of the different statistical behaviors of these sloshing key parameters will help to decide which key parameters are to be taken into account for a rational sloshing assessment and what are the best methods (calculations or experiments) to obtain these key parameters.
