The radial sand ridges field off the coastline of Jiangsu Province in China owns the worldwide fame to its huge scale, unique shape and the specific tidal hydrodynamic environment. In this paper by using the measured data of the domain for two large-scale hydrology and sediment tests which held by the offshore marine comprehensive investigation and evaluation (908 special project for short), we first analyzed the characteristics of flow rates and discussed the plain velocity distribution in this region, then adopted the factor standardized flow rate in fitting the related vertical distribution and validated the measured data. Second, based on the sediment concentration data obtained by the simultaneous observation, we analyzed the correlations between sediment concentration and tidal current velocity for all of the stations in this region.
