As to the offshore constructions in the deep area of South China Sea (SCS), spectrum analysis methods are necessary in the research of dynamic response and vibration control. For a given sea state including both swell and wind-sea components at SCS, it's necessary to understand the main characteristics of double-peaked spectrum and provide the reference basis for offshore construction design. In this paper, the statistical and spectrum analyses are made of the measured data on sea waves with double-peaked spectrum in SCS. The sea element probability distributions and characteristics of sea waves with double-peaked spectrums are investigated. In order to offer the selection of double-peaked spectrum model from Ochi-Hubble and Torsethaugen, the measured dada in SCS are comparing with these models. The results can provide a reference for design and construction in SCS.
