ABSTRACT:

Recently, pressure grouting is widely being used in construction site for strength improvement of ground and water proof, reinforcement and so on. It is necessarily required to estimate an appropriate injection pressure and injection time for economical and reasonable construction in the site through the size and shape of the hardened grout measured according to ground condition. However, sampling for the hardened grout is time-consuming and needs the high cost on preliminary test in the site. The system which could predict the size and shape of the hardened grout does not exist until now. Thus, numerical method based on VOF method with the same condition, silicate grouting material was used for the calibration chamber test with injection pressure, 50kPa, 100kPa and 150kPa, is applied and analyzed in this study.

INTRODUCTION

The pressure grouting methods being currently carried out in the recent construction site within the country not only to increase the shear strength of target ground through solidification of ground, but also to obtain water interception effects by pressure-injecting grouting materials into the ground so that it presses the vicinity of grouting holes compressed by injection pressure and makes grouting materials penetrate into pores, cracks and joints of the surrounding ground. However, there are many cases that these pressure grouting methods cause a construction non-coincident with its construction purpose because the fracturing injection and the penetration injection occur indiscreetly. When being applied to the site for this, injection effects by experimental construction prior to the field construction get confirmed, and the confirmation of these injection effects is essentially carried out for overall estimation of the field construction plan such as proper injection pressure, injection time, injection stage, and the distance and number of injection holes, etc. by measuring the strength and shape of the hardened grout from its sampling.
