This paper describes the approach taken and the lessons learned from a recent project, which required both corrosion and hydrate inhibition for subsea pipelines from normally unmanned offshore platforms to an onshore processing plant. Issues addressed include the corrosion control strategy, chemical injection system design and the challenges of ensuring robust corrosion monitoring in sour gas systems.
