ABSTRACT

The Snøhvit field was put on stream in 2007. The subsea to shore transport of unprocessed multiphase well-stream over a distance of 146 km poses several challenges. This paper presents experiences gained from starting up, and the first two years of operation of the long multiphase pipeline system coupled to the onshore LNG plant.

Challenges, operations and experiences will be described. Emphasis will be on the multiphase simulations compared to real life. Based on field data from relevant gas-condensate fields a special OLGA version was adapted.
