ABSTRACT

The Skirne gas condensate field, operated by Total E&P Norge, has been in production since 2004. One of the wells may potentially produce above the original design rate of the subsea production system. A flow assurance study was performed to investigate the impact of increased production on the subsea equipment. In the study, the FMC developed multiphase flow simulator FlowManagerœ was fed with historical and forecast reservoir data in order to estimate accumulated erosion and to give recommendations based on process standards. These results, in combination with the operator's experience, led to the recommendation that the production rate can be increased.
