ABSTRACT

This paper summarizes some of the experiences with the use of on-line simulators for surveillance and operational support. Model scopes for such systems have increased over the years. At the same time the required simulation speed has increased. In order to meet the new demands a new framework for taking multiphase flow models online has been developed by SPT Group. A model scheduling functionality is developed to be able to split large dynamic multiphase flow simulation models into several sub-models. This scheduler has clear simulation speed benefits for the typical model scopes covered by online simulators for surveillance and operational support.
